This stage production will open your eyes and make you aware of how serious mental illness actually is. Based on the true story of 38-year-old Philip Coleman who was tasered to death while in police custody after suffering a nervous breakdown. Ironically, his father, Percy Coleman had a long career in law enforcement in the south suburbs. In an attempt to find out what happened, his father said, “that’s just not Philip. He wasn’t in his right mind or body.” Police later made the statement to the Coleman’s, “we don’t do hospitals, we do jail.”
